Andrew MacSwayed is a RIBA Architect with a reputation for design and efficiency. He has been practicing for over 25 years and has completed projects in 8 different countries. Each month his practice submits an average of 10 to 12 planning approvals and has an 80% success rate first time around.

Problem
One of the biggest challenges for his team that this success generates is, a large demanding client base all of whom want their projects dealt with urgently. At times the practice is booked for up to four months and further projects cannot be accepted. Realising this loss of revenue was unacceptable and that long waiting times, especially for developers and landlords was impractical, Andrew sought a solution.

How It Works
The practice e-mails its brief and drawings to Anova Engineering often shortly after conducting the initial site survey. Pencil sketches, modifications, photos and list of drawings required often form part of the pack that is issued. Anova Engineering converts everything into AutoCAD within 24-48hrs depending on the size of the project then sends it back for review.

Outcome
As a result, the Practice’s revenues have increased with a reduction in lead times. It has been able to significantly increase turnover, concentrate more on client’s requirements and speed up planning submissions.
